Ming Morssinkhof artist and painter

Ming Morssinkhof (1998, the Netherlands) is a mixed media artist working with painting, installation, and sound. Her practice builds upon the material qualities of noise, mist, and visual grain, creating layered compositions that shift between visibility and disappearance. Vibrant gestures of colour and texture guide the eye through her works, as fragments merge to form unstable, evolving visual environments.

Inspired by the richness of fog and the tactile nature of sonic and visual particles, Morssinkhof collects bits of memories, knowledges and visions which she digests, remixes, and reshuffles. Layers of mist and noise become metaphors for camouflage, rebellion, and sedimentation, reflecting on the layered, often contradictory nature of perception and memory.

Through this process, Morssinkhof explores how personal and shared narratives take shape. Her work questions how we process and reconstruct everyday experiences, offering space where new meaning can surface from the fragments we leave behind.
